Adam Swift has been one of Hull FC’s most consistent performers in 2021, but the winger could be ruled out until the end of the season after suffering a bizarre burn injury to his foot whilst at home.
FC boss Brett Hodgson confirmed that it is a bad injury.
“Adam Swift had an issue where he burned his foot quite badly,” Hodgson said.
“He had an accident and he’s burned his foot so unfortunately he will be out – I would assume – for the remainder of the year.
“I don’t think there’s going to be long-term damage but it is substantial enough to more than likely keep him out for the next two weeks.
“Hopefully Swifty will be good to go next year.”
Hull FC are aiming to get their season back on track against Wigan Warriors on Saturday afternoon, knowing that anything less than a victory will see them miss out on a top six play-off spot.
