Hull FC signing reveals exciting career plans after retirement but states he is in the “peak” of his playing career

The 2023 Super League season is a new beginning for Brad Dwyer.
The hooker started his career at Warrington Wolves before making the switch to Leeds Rhinos ahead of 2018 with big shoes to fill effectively as Rob Burrow’s replacement.
He spent five seasons with the club and has been one of their best players during a transitional period.
Dwyer helped them win the Challenge Cup Final in 2020 and his heroics against Catalans Dragons and Huddersfield Giants were a big part of Leeds getting to the Grand Final though he didn’t feature at Old Trafford making his final appearance in Round 27 against Castleford Tigers before joining Hull FC on a one-year deal donning the number 33 shirt.
This year will see Dwyer turn 30, an in an Instagram post Dwyer said he feels he is in the “peak” of his playing career but that hasn’t stopped him from preparing for life off the field as he revealed his post-playing career plans:
“2023 will see me turn 30. Whilst I’m feeling like I’m in the peak of my career and fully invested in a successful end to it, life after rugby and what I want from it is in my thoughts a lot more,” he said on Instagram.
“For me that will be something I’m passionate about and allows me to have a similar lifestyle as I do being a professional athlete.
“I feel like I’ve found that in property, after stumbling into it throughout my career. So throughout 2023 I will be sharing some of my experiences and deals I’ve done so far. I’ll also be sharing my journey going forward as I look to ramp up the amount I invest in property using the BRR strategy, getting me ready for life after RL.
“One thing I have already started to do, is sharing my experiences with teammates + friends. As everyone always bangs on about rugby is a short career and it’s good to have things in place for when we are done.
“If anyone is interested in property whether that’s having money sat in savings being ate away by inflation or have equity in there home they’d like advice on getting access to and get working for them. My dms are always open.”
