Hull FC forward Jed Cartwright appears to be making a return to action this week, after a social media post by the Australian suggested as much.
Cartwright has been missing since the club’s round three defeat to York Knights, in what was the latest issue in of an injury-ravaged FC career.
Making his debut in August of 2024, since then Hull have played 51 matches, however the back rower has featured in just 19 of those, highlighting how much of a struggle it has been for him to stay fit.
The 29-year-old has already been confirmed to leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the season, but after recovering from his latest setback, there is some hope that he can end his time at the MKM Stadium on a high.
Taking to Instagram to post about his potential return, Cartwright wrote: “Been a long 14 weeks on the sideline!
“A roller-coaster of emotions! Lots of rehab and hard work mentally and physically!
“Can’t wait to get back out there for these boys and the Hull supporters.”
A return won’t be confirmed until he is named in the 21-man squad for this week, but with Connor Bailey out injured, his return comes at a timely part of the season for the Black and Whites.
