A total of nine Hull FC players and three staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 in this week’s second round of testing.

Seven of the players who have tested positive featured in Hull’s match day 17 against Salford Red Devils.

It follows the postponement of Hull’s fixture against Castleford Tigers this weekend after the first round of testing earlier this week saw them return six positive tests.

Hull’s proposed Challenge Cup tie, also against Castlford next weekend, was postponed yesterday in-line with Public Health England self-isolation guidelines.

In better news for the competition, all Salford players and staff have tested negative for the second time this week with the club already announcing two further rounds of testing next week.
