Hull FC utility back Hakim Miloudi has been thrown out of the France World Cup squad for disciplinary reasons.
Reports suggest he missed the bus to Barcelona where the team were flying from, with his place in the squad taken by Swinton’s Illies Bergal.
Miloudi, 24, impressed on the wing during the game against Jamaica on Friday and was in contention for a starting spot in the World Cup opener against Lebanon.
However, he will now not travel Down Under with the French national team in a huge blow for the player.
Miloudi signed a two-year full-time contract with Hull at the end of August after a successful trial period, which included a loan spell at Doncaster.
