Hull FC turned in a battling performance as they fell to a 28-14 defeat to local rivals Hull KR at the MKM Stadium.
Here’s our player ratings.
Will Pryce: Not his day. The youngster had his moments but has to do more for Hull in the big games. Struggled from the tee as well. 6
Tom Briscoe: Took his try very well and carried well throughout the contest. 6
Jordan Rapana: The ultimate competitor. Relished the occasion and found the try to bring the score within two points late on. 7
Davy Litten: The centre had his moments but committed a few handling errors and mistakes, too. 6
Lewis Martin: Superb tackle to deny Tom Davies but didn’t have too much joy with the ball. 6
Cade Cust: Sent off in the 16th minute of the contest for a horrible contact on Arthur Mourgue as he attempted to latch onto a Will Pryce grubber. 4
Aidan Sezer: Took on responsibility following the red card and created opportunities with his passing game. Kicked well, too. 7
Herman Ese’ese: The Hull FC prop had his bright spells but couldn’t quite make the impact he has done in previous weeks. 7
Amir Bourouh: Dug in and did well from the hooker role before he was brought off late. 6
Liam Knight: Played big minutes and dug in deep for the cause. 7
Zak Hardaker: Did well as a makeshift back-rower. 6
Ed Chamberlain: Left the field injured in the first half. 6
John Asiata: Impressed with the ball in hand and got stuck in defensively. Might be facing up to disciplinary points after his late hit on Mikey Lewis. 7
Yusuf Aydin: Might feel as though he could have done more to prevent Mourgue scoring. 6
Jack Ashworth: Helped to swing the game in Hull’s favour after stepping off the bench. Found a try, too. 7
Denive Balmforth: Arrived into the fray late. 6
Sam Eseh: Impressed off the bench and got stuck in. 7
