It’s been one of the major talking points in recent weeks, but Boris Johnson’s Conservative Government appears to be teetering on the edge of collapse.
Following the revelation of a number of photos showing Johnson and his ministers at select parties, the British public is rightly in uproar.
Whilst the people were locked down, banned from seeing their friends or family at the height of the pandemic back in Christmas 2020, Johnson and his mercenaries were partying with wine, cheese and frivolity.
With those frivolities now being thrust further into the public eye, and with another lockdown said to be mooted, the public has responded in defiance.
Among those mocking the latest revelation of a wine and cheese party this time last year – which has since been described as ‘a drink after meetings’ by Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab – whilst thousands of people died has been the Hull FC Instagram account.
With that infamous photo of Josh Reynolds in the derby game against Hull KR, spitting out liquid in front of the Rovers fans after being targeted with thrown bottles, the FC social media team hilariously trolled Johnson with the caption: “This wasn’t a social occasion, it was staff having a drink after meetings.”
It seems as though the British public have finally had enough after being told one rule whilst the Conservative Government live a different life.
