Hull FC will launch a full investigation following incidents that occurred in their defeat to Castleford Tigers on Friday night.
During the game, a number of technical issues got in the way, including the two big screens inside the MKM Stadium being faulty, causing them to be unusable during the match.
The Black and Whites say that the issues were “beyond the control of the club”, and will be pursuing the reasons why the big screens weren’t working.
As a result of those issues, the MKM Stadium’s match clock and shot clock were out of action too, meaning there was no official clock available for both fans and players to follow along with, and they needed to rely on the referee’s whistle to tell them when time was up.
The club say that they will be working closely with the Stadium Operations Team to try and get to the bottom of the issue, and stated their full apologies to the fans in attendance who were inconvenienced by the faults.
FC will travel to Perpignan to play Catalans on Friday, before they host Warrington Wolves at home the week after, meaning the club has until then to fix the issues that have arisen.
