Hull FC star gives important injury update ahead of 2023 Super League season

Kane Evans was a major signing for Hull FC going into next season and brings their pack plenty of quality.

However, suspensions and injuries meant he didn’t quite make the impact he could have.

That said, in 2023 under a new boss Tony Smith – formerly of Leeds Rhinos and the Warrington Wolves – he could very well have a huge impact on what should be a successful season for the Black and Whites.

But first he first has to get over an injury which ended his 2022 campaign early: a knee injury which required surgery.

However, speaking to the club’s website he gave an encouraging update on his injury:

“The rehab is going well at the moment. It looks as though I’m going to be fighting to be ready to play in our second pre-season match and then hopefully I’ll be flying into Round One,” he said.

“But I have to say that I’ve been really impressed with the new physio – I’m learning a lot from him.

“He’s already taught me a few new tricks that I wasn’t aware of before and I’ve been around for a while at some good clubs.

“Even though I haven’t started running yet, some of the things that he’s helped me out with has been awesome.”
