Hull FC gain some revenge for derby defeat

Hull FC fans

Yesterday was a tough day for Hull FC that underlined just how difficult things are at the club at the moment.

They lost their sixth consecutive game and making matters worse it came against their biggest rivals Hull KR in their own back yard.

They were pummelled 40-0 by the Robins with Ryan Hall scoring a hat-trick and the likes of Mikey Lewis, Joe Batchelor, Tom Opacic and Lachlan Coote all crossing too.

It was a very bad Good Friday for Tony Smith and his side as they remain 11th in the league and it highlights the challenge at the club.

However, a result today has emphasised the positive future at Hull FC as they won the derby in the academy today.

It was a comprehensive win for the Black and Whites as they won 32-4.

First half tries from Mackenzie Harman, Kyle Armstrong and Callum Shaw gave them a 16-0 lead and they replicated that in the second half with Roman Dawson, Charlie Stipetic and Joe Ward making it 32-0 before Harvey Horne had the last word scoring from dummy half.

A much needed positive result for the Black and Whites, a bit of revenge after yesterday and a sign of the positive future at the club.
