When Shaun Wane revealed his 20-man England squad this morning for the clash against France next weekend in Perpignan, there was one notable absentee.
That man was Jake Connor – who topped the number of try assists in the 2021 Super League season with 22 – and Hull FC fans were duly drawn to the point.
There’s perhaps no getting away from the fact that both Zak Hardaker and Niall Evalds have been chosen in front of the Black and Whites’ number one and FC fans – as well as a number of neutrals – could not comprehend it.
One FC fan couldn’t believe it.
No Jake Connor? Shocking

Another couldn’t believe the duo were chosen in front of Connor.
Evalds & Hardaker in above Connor #headsgone

That sentiment was echoed by another.
Evalds ahead of Connor wow

It was the most pertinent issue coming out of Wane’s squad.
No Jake Connor🤯😂

The inclusion of Hardaker over the Hull man also caused consternation.
How does Hardaker get in this squad above Connor?

Another supporter believed that Wane would not choose Connor.
He’s got a real issue with Jake Connor hasn’t he

Connors is a liability and a horrible person. Not wanted.
