Hull FC fans fearful of Luke Gale Super League comeback

Last night Luke Gale’s huge transfer from Keighley Cougars to Wakefield Trinity was confirmed as Keighley paid a fee for the former Man of Steel and Leeds Rhinos skipper.

Gale had joined Keighley at the end of 2022 in one of the biggest stories of the year.

It came after a year at Hull FC which hadn’t quite gone to plan starting with a red card on his home debut against St Helens.

Now though Hull FC fans are fearful of Gale.

His home debut will come against the Black and Whites and they are only two places above Wakefield at the bottom making it a huge game.

Likewise, another of Gale’s former club’s Castleford Tigers are in the mix at the bottom and it was pointed out that Gale has essentially been signed to relegate one of his former clubs.

But it seems many Hull FC fans believe it is “written in the star” that Gale will come back to haunt them in 10 days’ time.

One fan said:

This was a common fear amongst Hull FC fans with another expecting Gale to rip them apart in that huge game at the bottom of the league.

The common fear amongst Hull FC fans was that it could be a signature Luke Gale drop goal that defeats them.
