Hull FC are eyeing up a move for South Sydney Rabbitohs utility forward Joe Lovodua – according to the Hull Daily Mail.
The 23-year-old – who has been a part of the Rabbitohs’ New South Wales Cup team – is on head coach Brett Hodgson’s radar following a less than successful season in which the Black and Whites finished eighth.
Lovodua, who is at home at hooker and in the pack, has over 50 New South Wales Cup appearances to his name with six tries, but he has yet to crack the NRL.
Hodgson is contemplating moves for new blood after nine losses in FC’s last ten games consigned the club to a dismal end to 2021, with chairman Adam Pearson making his feelings well known about the desire for changes.
That has left the likes of Mahe Fonua and Josh Bowden on the periphery of Hodgson’s thinking, with both players offered up to other Super League sides in a bid to rebuild the squad.
