Hull FC comfortably beat Castleford Tigers as they score tries for fun

Last night we saw some scintillating action as Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR headed to Golden Point, Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves met in a real battle and Huddersfield Giants impressed against Wakefield Trinity.

That only added to today’s fixture between Hull FC and Castleford Tigers as it meant Hull FC had to win to keep the pressure on their rivals and continue to chase a spot in the top six.

It also meant that a win for Cas would allow them to open up a four point lead on Wakefield at the bottom.

However, they got off to a poor start as a kick from former Cas star Jake Trueman was flicked into the path of Adam Swift to score to make it 4-0.

The Tigers though, needing a win, found a try of their own with a sweeping move to the left with Elliot Wallis going over. Gareth Widdop converted to make it 6-4.

Hull though would retake the lead when Carlos Tuimamvave powered his way over the try line but at halftime it was 8-all when Widdop notched a penalty.

However, Castleford’s start to the second half was as worse as possible as Chris Satae powered over before going on a rampage from kick off before setting Swift away for a second.

Liam Sutcliffe kicked both goals and Hull led 20-8. Castleford gave themselves hope when Jack Broadbent slipped through the defensive line to score and make it 20-14.

But Hull would soon have a 10 point lead when Davy Litten scored in the corner to give Hull FC a 24-14 lead.

Cameron Scott then showed great power to extend the lead to 30-14 before he doubled his money to make it 36-14 as the Black and Whites went on a second half rampage.

Former Hull winger Bureta Faraimo did get a consolation try to make it 36-18 with 10 minutes to go.
