Hull FC boss Brett Hodgson reveals news on Jamie Shaul, Manu Ma’u and Josh Reynolds

Hull FC will be without Jamie Shaul and Josh Reynolds for this weekend’s clash with Huddersfield Giants on Sunday afternoon.

Reynolds is set to be out for another couple of weeks, though Shaul may well just miss out on Sunday.

Manu Ma’u, however, could well feature after not playing in 2022 as of yet.

“We’re not too bad,” Hodgson told Hull Live about the potential for any returnees.

“Jamie Shaul has picked up a slight knock so he won’t feature this week.”

“He’s close,” Hodgson added on Ma’u. “He will be named in the squad, we just need him to tick a few more boxes at the back end of the week.

“Grub, I don’t think we’ll see him for a couple of weeks just with that elbow and Jordan Lane, again, we’ll probably name him in the squad and give him a little bit of time. He’s progressing nicely.”

Hull picked up a superb win against Leeds Rhinos last weekend and will be hoping for more of the same this Sunday.

They will, however, have to do without new signing Kane Evans after he was handed a two-match ban from the Disciplinary Match Review Panel.
