Hull FC’s break whilst the Challenge Cup semi-finals were on seems to have worked wonders in terms of helping some of their stars to heal.
Josh Griffin, Adam Swift and Josh Bowden will all be fit and ready to go for Hull’s fixture against St Helens on Friday night, whilst Luke Gale will return from suspension alongside Josh Reynolds.
“We’ve got a number coming back which is pleasing,” Hodgson told Hull Live. “Luke Gale, Josh (Reynolds), Josh Griffin, Adam Swift and Josh Bowden are all available.
That being said, Hodgson has confirmed that Cam Scott is still absent whilst Kane Evans will miss out of this week’s fixture due to a minor pectoral strain suffered during training.
“Cam Scott is still a week away probably, so we have a number back in contention. There’s a couple of tough decisions that I have to make and at the moment we’re in a good position, we’re winning games and whoever plays we can rely on.”
“Kane Evans might be missing out with a slight strain of his pec,” Hodgson admitted. “It’s nothing substantial but it possibly might keep him out of this week.”
Hull have also been linked heavily with a move for Jake Trueman, with Hull Live again reporting he was close to signing for the Black and Whites yesterday.
“I’m not going to deal in speculation about who we are looking to bring in,” Hodgson continued.
“He’s obviously a good player and he’s got quality and we are looking to bring in a couple of different people into the environment to try and make us better. But, as I said, we’re not interested in dealing in anything with anyone until we reach those clubs.”
