Hull FC have announced the signing of Catalans Dragons man Arthur Romano as they continue their recruitment push for the 2026 Super League season.
Romano has signed a two-year deal with the Black and Whites and that ensures he will be with Hull until the end of the 2027 season at the very least. Serious About Rugby League broke the news of Hull’s interest in Romano earlier this month and that exclusive has now been confirmed.
The France international has been with Catalans throughout his senior career, making his debut for the club in 2017 and making 95 appearances for the club before his exit was confirmed by the Dragons last month.
Of those outings, 17 have come this season in what has been a difficult campaign for the Dragons. He has scored 22 tries for the Perpignan outfit, while he also spent time on loan at Toulouse Olympique as a youngster.

At 28, he will now be making the move over to west Hull to compete for a spot in John Cartwright’s side and it’s fair to say he faces stiff competition. Davy Litten and Zak Hardaker have been considered first choice in the position this season, but Romano will provide plenty of competition for places at the MKM Stadium.
He is expected to represent France against Jamaica next month before linking up with Hull later in the year for pre-season.

Director of rugby Gareth Ellis added: “As somebody who has played nearly 100 Super League games, Arthur is a great pick up for us because of the competition he will offer for places in the outside backs.

“Arthur is an evasive player, one of the key attributes you need as a modern day outside back. He’s strong, powerful, fast. He is a great addition to our squad for 2026 and I’m looking forward to seeing him in our Black & White colours.”
