Hull FC have made Joe Phillips their eighth signing ahead of the 2026 Super League season.
As Serious About Rugby League exclusively reported last month, the Black and Whites have signed the Goole Vikings youngster, with Phillips earning himself another Super League shot.
The forward has penned a two-year deal with the East Yorkshire outfit, ensuring he will be with Hull until the end of the 2027 season.
Phillips, who is still just 19, started his career at Leeds Rhinos but left the club last year to chase first-team rugby league. That came with Goole, where he made nine appearances this season and impressed under the guidance of former Hull prop Scott Taylor.
He’ll join a Hull side that looks set to boast one of the most powerful packs in the division next year and while he will be keen to learn, he’ll also be striving to catch John Cartwright’s eye.

“I’m really proud to be joining Hull FC for the next two years,” Phillips told the Black and Whites’ club media after joining.
“This is a great opportunity for me and it’s a challenge I’m ready for on the back of a good year with Goole in League One.
“The key thing I’m looking forward to is working and developing in a full-time environment. That’s going to be so beneficial for me.
“I can’t wait to meet everyone at the club and get stuck into pre-season with the lads.”

“He is a young, hungry forward, who has aspirations to play at a high level, and I admire his determination because I know what it can be like to come into a professional environment as a young athlete.
