Hull FC and Wigan Warriors fans don’t often agree on anything but it seems a potential transfer has them taking the same side.
On Tuesday, All Out Rugby League reported that Wigan prop Harvie Hill has signed for the Black and Whites from the 2026 season.
The 21-year-old is said to be looking for more game time with only two substitute appearances in Super League in 2025, with Wigan boss Matt Peet opting to start Liam Byrne and Luke Thompson instead.
It appears that most Wigan fans are disappointed to lose him and many Hull FC fans are excited to see another quality signing for 2026 made already.
Also reported to be joiningg the Black and Whites are Joe Batchelor and James Bell so Hill could be another powerful recruit for Hull FC coach John Cartwright as he looks to bolster his forward pack.
Here’s the best reaction from Hull FC and Wigan fans from our social media.
Hull FC and Wigan fans on Harvie Hill’s potential move for 2026
Stan Smith: It’s a wrong decision, too good to lose.
Dave Phillips: See how he’ll fit in, can’t judge until he’s played. Young and strong is a plus.
Paul Goodwin: He’s never let them down and is surely a great prospect for the future, it looks like Hull will benefit. Good luck Harvie.
Graham Gallagher: Well, that is a shock, he is a very good young prop. A great signing for Hull if true. I presume he wants more game time. Maybe Wigan need more cover in the backs instead?
Leanne Winstanley: Gutted, he’s such a good player, good signing for Hull.
James Collett: Great signing if it’s true.
Mark Davison: Poor decision letting Hill leave.
James Jocky Hall: Good signing for FC that. Be a shame to see him go, the lad’s a workhorse and only 21.
