Hull FC and Hull KR given big boosts ahead of derby

Easter is approaching and thus so is one of the most exciting and enjoyable rounds of Super League action.

That is because it is Rivals Round where every game is shown live on Sky Sports as the biggest games in the league take place.

Things of course peak on Good Friday with the traditional derbies.

The action starts in Hull with the Hull derby between Hull FC and Hull KR and now the team news is in.

Smith has made four changes to the side that was named in advance of last week’s clash against Warrington.

Ligi Sao returns from his one-match suspension, while Ben McNamara has recovered from a shoulder knock to be included.

Meanwhile, Mitieli Vulikijapani and Jamie Shaul are both also included. Shaul is something of Hull’s forgotten man and could replace Tex Hoy.

A superb player he could make a real statement in this game.

The quartet replace Andre Savelio, Joe Lovodua, and Nick Staveley, alongside Tex Hoy who misses out through a hamstring injury.

Hull remain without Jake Trueman through injury.

Willie Peters meanwhile welcomes back centres Tom Opacic and Shaun Kenny-Dowall from injury and suspension respectively.

Louis Senior will remain on the wing with Ethan Ryan not included.

The game will be shown on Sky Sports on Good Friday and the game kicks off at 12:00.

It is the first derby for Peters whilst Tony Smith is set for his first derby on the other side of the fixture after leaving Hull KR last year.
