Hull FC 14-60 Salford Red Devils: Talking points and player ratings

Salford have thrashed Hull FC this afternoon in a remarkable game but what were the talking points from the contest.

Here’s ours:

OurLeague coverage impresses
Some people have been critical of OurLeague coverage in the past but today’s was brilliant. Plenty of camera angles, good insight and fantastic replays. This could be the future of none TV games and would be brilliant for fans.

Salford Red Devils the best in the league on the back of a quick ruck
They looked unstoppable today. Brodie Croft looked like he could create a try every time he had the ball and they were a joy to watch. On days like these they could be the best team in the league in terms of attack.

New Hull same old problems
It may be a new regime at Hull FC but the problems are very similar of the ones that have held them back over the last few seasons. They started so well today but ended up being played off the park. Tony Smith won’t be happy and neither were the fans who booed at the break. They were better in the second stanza.

Poor old Clifford
In a beaten team, Jake Clifford did impress for Hull FC with the opening try and some other nice touches.

Eight point tries more common
The eight point try seems to be becoming more common especially when Salford are playing. This one was soft by the precedent of the past but not by what we saw last week.
