Last night, Castleford did their play-off hopes no harm with a win over top six rivals Hull FC. Both sides came into the game on the back of impressive derby wins over Wakefield and Hull KR respectively. However, the Tigers were the team who carried the momentum into yesterday’s game to come up with a superb win at Hull’s expense. Well that was my view, but what was yours?
Early in the game, Paul McShane struggled off the field forcing Daryl Powell to move loose-forward Adam Milner to hooker. The former number nine shone in his old role and many people believed he was Castleford’s best player on the night.

One fan who praised Milner also believed that Cas are generating momentum at the right time perhaps hinting that they’ll easily wrap up a place in the top six.
Cas are peaking at the right time 100% Adam Milner is something else

Danny Richardson was another impressive performer on the night as he continued his recent good form.

Absolutely made up for Danny Richardson the way he's playing at the moment. Adz Milner looks like a Tigers captain in waiting too.
Also thrilled to see Jake Connor lose a game of rugby league. I do continue to respect his resolute commitment to shithousing though.

Can we talk about how well Danny Richardson has turned it around this season? https://t.co/9XF8kWO5uV

Danny Richardson comeback is better than the sandal wearing hippy from 2000 years ago.

Some fans meanwhile praised virtually the whole team as everything seems to come together at the right time for the Tigers.
Milner and Holmes have made massive contributions tonight. Watts leading from the front as usual. Danny Rich on fire and I think Jordan Turner is now my favourite Cas player! #COYF 🐯

As you can see in the above tweet, Jordan Turner was impressive. Apart from his two tries, fans loved how he frustrated Jake Connor in the second half.
Hahaha love it, Jordan Turner getting under Connors skin

In fact, plenty of people picked up on Connor’s frustrations as the Hull fullback struggled to get his side back into the game.
Tried to watch Hull vs. Castleford earlier. Watched 20 minutes, in that time Jake Connor acted like a child and the comms hailed a basic move like he'd walked on water.

Danny Houghton worst hooker in super league …… don’t even @ me …… #SLHulCas

Ultimately, Hull fans themselves felt let down by the performance.
Wish I didn't love Hull FC so much. It's like being with a bloke who constantly lets you down but tells you you're pretty once in a blue moon so you forget about it 🤣

Some even believed that now their season is well and truly over.
Season done for us, was shite Cas deserves the win

Hodgson needs some new players next season

Need an overall! Too many players can’t be arsed and are there for the money— Steve B-H (@stevebryhart) August 26, 2021
