Hull dominate Grassroots Top 40 players poll

The City of Hull Academy, Hull Wyke and West Hull have been well represented in the GRM Sport (Grassroots Multi-Sport) Top 40 players poll.

GRM, founded by Shawn Boatin, are a multi-media online platform who’s aim is to showcase the best of grassroots sporting talent.

Throughout this season, GRM have filmed over 30 rugby league games, both amateur and semi-professional, and have documented some of the best players and moments from grassroots rugby.

A panel, including Boatin, Hull Wyke coach Karl Hutchinson and Hull FC academy player Leon Stewart selected the ten best players from four different age categories to comprise the 2019 top 40 grassroots players.

Among them are several notable names, including former Doncaster players Craig Cook and Ryan Steen, and ex-Dewsbury and Halifax fullback Freddie Walker.

Warrington Wolves halfback Riley Dean, who made his Super League debut this season, is included as part of the academy category.
