Huge upset brewing as Leigh reduced to 11

Leigh Leopards have been reduced to 11 men becoming the third team in four Challenge Cup quarter-finals to reduced to 12 men this weekend.

First they suffered a red card. The red card went the way of Kai O’Donnell for a dangerous tackle.

The incident was a tip tackle from the impressive Leigh forward.

York were naturally massive underdogs going into the game but against 12 men they have as good a chance as any to claim the win.

The Knights thought they had taken the lead. It was an early wake up call for the Leopards.

Leigh, you’d think, are still favourites.

They are third in the league going into the game.

However, things got tougher for them when Zak Hardaker was sin binned for a late shot.

O’Donnell becomes the third player this week to be shown a red card.

Hull FC star Josh Griffin was sent off for dissent towards Chris Kendall as they lost to St Helens.

Then Wigan Warriors forward Kaide Ellis was sent off against Warrington Wolves within the first 7 minutes.

The two showed the different responses you can get from a red card incident.

Hull unravelled as Wigan stormed to a famous win.
