Huge Magic Weekend team news as one of Super League’s best in interesting position

Two of the top four collide at the Magic Weekend at St James’ Park.

Wigan Warriors take on Catalans Dragons in Newcastle. The Warriors got back on track last week with a win over Hull KR in golden point and thanks to Warrington Wolves’ defeat to Leigh Leopards, the Warriors are just two points off top spot and they can further cement their place in the top two, which comes with the all important home semi-final, with a win over one of their closest rivals Catalans Dragons.

The French outfit have defied the odds this season after being written off by most and have been doing it tough with injuries.

The team news is now.

The huge news is that one of Super League’s best is back in the shape of Jai Field.

Field picked up an injury just before Wigan’s huge Easter fixtures as he limped off against Leigh Leopards with a hamstring problem.

However the star is back but not in his usual fullback role as he starts in the halves with Bevan French at fullback.

Cade Cust also returns after being dropped recently. He starts on the bench.
