Huge decision made as team news revealed for Hull KR vs Hull FC

It’s Hull derby day as Hull KR and Hull FC collide. Yes we have some huge rivalries in Super League such as the clash between Wigan Warriors and St Helens as well as their rivalries with Warrington Wolves and of course the Leeds Rhinos but there is arguably no bigger rivalry than the Hull derby.

The only derby in Super League where the two combatants are from the same city today’s derby has added significance with both wrapped up in the play-off race.

Hull KR go into the game seventh just two points off sixth whilst Hull FC are chasing them, Leeds and Salford Red Devils.

Hull FC are also battling to avenge their huge thrashing at home against Hull KR earlier this year.

The game takes place at Craven Park at 12pm on Sky Sports.

The team news is now in and Hull KR, hit by injury, have made the huge call to play former Leeds and Hull FC star Jack Walker at fullback after his move from Bradford Bulls.

This allows Ethan Ryan start on the win with Ryan Hall. Tom Opacic and Shaun Kenny-Dowall start at the centres whilst Mikey Lewis and Rowan Milnes have their last chance to nail down their spots ahead of Brad Schneider’s arrival.

The absence of Elliot Minchella sees Dean Hadley start at 13. Jez Litten starts ahead of Matt Parcell.

As for Hull FC, Tex Hoy returns to fullback. There is still no Liam Sutcliffe with Cameron Scott at centre in what is otherwise numbers wise the club’s strongest back line.

Jake Clifford and Jake Trueman start in the halves.

Joe Lovodua doesn’t feature but Brad Dwyer is named on the bench.
