Huddersfield v Wakefield: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Today, Huddersfield and Wakefield meet in a West Yorkshire derby. Both sides have shown positive signs in recent outings especially Huddersfield who have beaten Hull FC and Castleford in their last two games. It should be an interesting encounter.

The Giants are boosted by the return of forwards Josh Jones and Joe Greenwood both of whom will add size and experience to their pack to compliment the youth and speed of their backs. Nathan Peats will stick it out at hooker having impressed in recent weeks whilst livewire Olly Ashall-Bott will remain on the bench as Sam Wood drops out. Louis Senior will remain on the wing and will come up against brother Innes.

Speaking of Innes Senior, I’m tipping him to get the nod ahead of Liam Kay on the wing and be joined by the returning Tom Johnstone. Johnstone is one of two huge returnees for Trinity alongside star loose-forward Joe Westerman. His return gives Chris Chester a conundrum to solve when it comes to the bench as Yusuf Aydin will drop to the interchanges to accommodate Westerman’s return. So who will drop out, Brad Walker or Ryan Hampshire?
