Huddersfield v Catalans: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Round 2 concludes between two sides hoping to improve on their performances last week. Huddersfield go into the game with persisting injury concerns on the back of a disappointing defeat to Hull FC. The Dragons meanwhile threw away a 28-4 advantage last time out against Hull KR before winning in golden point. Both are capable of better and if they produce it could be an enticing contest.

The Giants again named talisman Aidan Sezer in their squad but he is still a doubt for the game. He trained this week but had to pull out during Thursday’s session according to Ian Watson. Jake Wardle should return after missing last week and will do so in place of Ricky Leutele who misses out with a broken hand. Also, likely to return is Michael Lawrence who’s set to make his 300th career appearance.

Meanwhile, Samisoni Langi could return for Catalans. However, they might not rush him back following the man of the match performance of young centre Matthieu Laguerre who also features in the squad. Former Wigan duo Michael McIlorum and Joel Tomkins are still suspended whilst Mickael Goudemand will miss out.
