Huddersfield Giants’ Will Pryce responds to his dad Leon Pryce’s controversial comments ahead of NRL move

Will Pryce is about to take on a new challenge that his superb father Leon Pryce never did.

Leon won plenty of trophies during a glittering career, but never decided to take on a move to the NRL but that is exactly what Will is set to do in 2024 after he completes his final season with the Huddersfield Giants.

Down under though some have dug up some comments made by his father about Australia claiming he would rather go to Blackpool than the famous Bondi beaches which caused quite a stir down under.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Will responded to these comments

“I have never been to Australia but I have seen the photos of it [Bondi] and obviously my dad is quite well known for that comment.” the 19-year-old said.

“I am sure he was only joking because I have been to Blackpool a fair few times in my life and I don’t think I have ever been there when it was sunny.

“I am looking forward to experiencing the lifestyle.”

Leon was an English international of course and this NRL move could help the young Will make a jump up into the England first team after playing for the Knights so far.
