A few weeks ago this would have seemed like a foregone conclusion, but Salford’s uptick in form coupled with Huddersfield shock and comprehensive defeat to Castleford the Giants look beatable here.

Salford have shown resolve all season especially last week and also have attacking prowess.

So, the Giants will have to be on top form to ensure they avoid defeat and don’t endure a repeat of their shock magic defeat to Salford 10 years ago.

Granted after defeat it could be easy for Ian Watson to make changes but Watson will likely stick rather than twist due to the Giants’ great form throughout the season in general. Toby King will make his second start for his home town team and Theo Fages will likely return although his inclusion would sadly see Olly Russell left out. Speaking of Olivers, Oliver Wilson is a slight doubt after a knee injury last week and is likely one of the “niggles” Ian Watson mentioned in his press conference.
