Huddersfield Giants vs Hull KR: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Huddersfield and Hull KR meet in one of the most intriguing Challenge Cup semi-finals for years.

Both are clubs well and truly on the up at the moment and deserve a place in the final at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. After all, the two only have one major final appearance between them since 2010.

But which of the two teams will live the semi-final dream and whose road to the final will be stopped dead in its tracks.

Kick-off time and TV channel

This is the third and final game of a brilliant Challenge Cup triple-header at Elland Road today and kicks off at 17:00.

TV coverage starts on BBC Two at 16:30.

Predicted Line-ups

Huddersfield Giants
The Giants will be boosted by some major returns such as Chris Hill in the front row and Tui Lolohea at fullback. Lolohea’s return will give extra strength to the Giants’ spine however Ashton Golding will likely not be dropped all together after some good performances recently and will return to the bench. There’s no Matty English through suspension which leaves an opening for either Oliver Wilson or the experienced Michael Lawrence.

6 Tui Lolohea
2 Jermaine McGillvary
3 Jake Wardle
4 Ricky Leutele
25 Innes Senior
23 Olly Russell
7 Theo Fages
8 Chris Hill
9 Danny Levi
17 Owen Trout

12 Chris McQueen
13 Luke Yates
Substitutes
5 Ash Golding
15 Joe Greenwood
18 Sebastine Ikahihifo
20 Oliver Wilson

Hull KR
Hull KR are in pretty much in the opposite position. They’ve lost a number of key players such as Lachlan Coote, Sam Wood and Albert Vete. Even Matty Storton is a doubt. Jez Litten should be back as should Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Kane Linnett. Luis Johnson is also back in the fold but it may be a little tough on the backrow to throw him back in the mix for a semi-final. So, without him and others, how will Tony Smith address the holes in his side. Will Dagger seems like the logical candidate at fullback whilst Ben Crooks and Shaun Kenny-Dowall will line up at centre. The likes of Jimmy Keinhorst and Greg Richards will be on the bench unless Johnson is indeed ready to return.

19 Will Dagger
23 Ethan Ryan
2 Ben Crooks
4 Shaun Kenny-Dowall
5 Ryan Hall
21 Rowan Milnes

11 Dean Hadley
12 Kane Linnett
17 Elliot Minchella

14 Jez Litten
