Huddersfield are looking to wrap up third spot in the comings weeks in hopes of a more favourable play-off clash.
One of the teams who they could meet in the play-offs comes to town this Friday in the shape of Hull FC who need a win to bolster their hopes of making the top six themselves as they currently sit seventh.
It should be an intriguing battle and a win would be a boost for either.
Team News
Huddersfield are boosted by two high profile returns. Tui Lolohea is back from injury whilst Leroy Cudjoe is back from a ban.
Connor Wynne is back from a ban for Hull FC who like Huddersfield have two players back this week. The other was Chris Satae who is back from injury.
Match Preview – Key Battles:
Danny Levi vs Danny Houghton: Danny takes on Danny in a clash of styles between two top hookers. Will the defensively astute Houghton be able to contain the lively Levi in the middle of the field.
Chris McQueen vs Ellis Longstaff: Ellis Longstaff was outstanding in France last week and has taken nicely to Hull FC since joining on loan. He’ll have his work cut out up against the very dangerous Chris McQueen who always seems to score.
Where the game will be won and lost:
Two typically physical sides, the strength of both sides in the centre of the field would make this a tough contest. Though the methodical Giants may just have the advantage over the Black and Whites.
Score Prediction: Huddersfield Giants 22-10 Hull FC
