Tonight it has been announced that Michael Lawrence will be a Bradford Bulls player in 2023.

He joins two Huddersfield Giants youngsters who are on loan at Odsal including Betfred League 1 Young Player of the Year 2022 George Roby.

He also joins some exciting signings such as Leeds Rhinos duo Jack Walker and Bodene Thompson.

It’s also interesting that Lawrence has requested that the move be a loan move initially to remain tied to the Giants after making over 300 appearances for the club.

He joins the Bulls for a two year stint and will likely help the club push for promotion in 2023 based on the calibre of signing being brought through the door at Odsal.

No matter what happens for him at Bradford, he’ll be fondly remembered at Huddersfield.

Speaking on his departure he said:

“First and foremost I’ve been lucky enough to live out my dream to represent my home town for so long, I’ve made many great memories on and off the field over the past 16 years.

“I’d like to thank Ken and Richard and all the back room and performance staff for everything they’ve done for me at the club, my team mates who I’ve played with who are friends for life and finally the loyal fans who have supported me and the club through thick and thin.

“Now I’m very excited for my new challenge at the Bradford Bulls and wish the giants all the best for the season ahead.”
