Arthur Mourgue looks set to make his Hull KR debut this Sunday when the Robins travel to Huddersfield Giants in Super League.
Willie Peters’ side are looking to claim their sixth Super League win in a row this weekend and they’re the overwhelming favourites to do so as they take on the the Giants, who remain winless at this stage of the season. And, Peters has strengthened his squad by bringing in new signing Mourgue for the first time.
The Frenchman made the move to east Hull earlier this month and after sampling Craven Park from the stands on Sunday, he will get he chance to run out for the Robins this week. it remains to be seen if he will start the contest, of course, with Jack Broadbent excelling at full-back of late, but he’ll be keen to impress in whatever game time he gets at the John Smith’s Stadium.
He replaces AJ Wallace in Peters’ squad. Eribe Doro also comes into the fold with Bill Leyland dropping out of the 21-man squad in the only other change.
Luke Robinson, on the other hand, has welcomed back Thomas Burgess from injury, while Jacob Gagai has also been named in the side in what comes as a big boost. There’s no Jack Murchie, though, while Liam Sutcliffe and Niall Evalds miss out, as expected.
