Huddersfield Giants v Catalans Dragons team news as both teams make spine changes

Huddersfield Giants

Huddersfield Giants host Catalans Dragons as they seek their first win of the Super League season and the team news is now in.

Injuries have plagued Huddersfield and that has seen them struggle in the early exchanges of the season, losing all six Super League games so far, including to struggling Salford.

It’s not been much better for Catalans who have won just twice in the competition, however, they have made their way to the Challenge Cup semi-finals with victories in that competition helping them find some winning form.

A win against the injury-affected Huddersfield will be all that Les Dracs expect but they’re not without their own issues, notably the absence of Sam Tomkins who picked up a knock in his 400th career game last Friday.

With both matchday squads confirmed, here is the team news for Super League Round Seven’s clash between Huddersfield Giants and Catalans Dragons.

New loan signing Bill Leyland starts on the bench with Ash Golding retaining the hooking role in a pack anchored by captain Leroy Cudjoe.
