Huddersfield Giants star reveals interest from other Super League clubs and rugby union sides

When Will Pryce burst onto the scene in 2021, it was clear that he was going to one of the most exciting young players for years, just like his father Leon Pryce a star of the Bradford Bulls and St Helens, was.

He shone at Huddersfield Giants at the end of 2021 and as the Giants prepared for the new season, Pryce was dealing with plenty of interest as you would expect.

The halfback / fullback of course had interest from NRL clubs leading to his move to Newcastle Knights ahead of 2024.

But he also had other Super League clubs interested in him as well as rugby union sides.

Pryce revealed just how much interest there was in him at the end of 2021 on the Trott The Egg podcast.

He said of this interest: “I remember after my first year in Super League, I couldn’t have been more lucky. I played every game in the second half of the season. I ended up playing 13 games on the trot and there was suddenly a bit of hype around me.

“That’s when, at the end of that season, Newcastle kind of became interested in signing me. I was getting interest from the NRL in general. I remember I also had a couple of clubs in Super League interested as well as union clubs. I suppose I had a lot of attention for the right reasons.”
