Wigan Warriors star Kai Pearce-Paul and Huddersfield Giants playmaker Will Pryce will both join NRL club Newcastle Knights in 2024 as confirmed today.

Their moves have long been rumoured, in fact it has been almost a year since talk of a move for the pair began.

They have both signed two year deals with the Knights but Pryce appears to want to stay in the NRL for a long time.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Pryce revealed a conversation with his dad as well as an ambition to play his whole career in Australia from here:

“He just said if you want to have a real crack at this, at the end of the day every rugby player wants to retire and never work again, but if you want to achieve something great in your career, you want to go where you can do that.

“Go to Australia and test yourself against the best. I want to go over to Australia and spend the rest of my career there.”

He is also keen on staying at Newcastle long term: “Hopefully everything goes well, I will be made to feel at home in Newcastle and stay there.”

It is unclear whether Kai Pearce-Paul foresees a return to Super League in his future but it seems Pryce, who turns 20 today, does not.
