Huddersfield Giants owner’s season ticket rallying cry as he talks about what Jake Connor will bring to the club

Huddersfield Giants have had a stellar off-season in terms of recruitment.

They have signed three-time Super League Champion and former Harry Sunderland Award winner Kevin Naiqama, NRL star Esan Marsters, Wigan Warriors man Jake Bibby and former player and Hull FC star Jake Connor along with Wigan youngsters Jack Bibby and Sam Halsall.

It could be a special season for the Giants after a really impressive 2022 campaign under Ian Watson as they finished third and played in the Challenge Cup Final.

As they prepare for this new season and what could be the Giants’ best season in Super League history based on the strength of their squad, owner Ken Davy has issued a rallying cry calling on fans to buy a season ticket to give the club and extra boost.

He also spoke about what the Giants’ new signing will bring to the club: “Season tickets are going well this year but we still need more.

“One of the stars we’re going to have is Jake Connor, our returning star, a tremendous player, an exciting star and a product of our academy coming back to score tries for us.

“Imagine, you’re a season card holder and you’re watching Kevin Naiqama in a Huddersfield shirt going down the line and scoring a try as he did against New Zealand.

“These are the exciting things we’ve got to look forward to.

“Do you remember a few years ago when Jermaine McGillvary ran from here through Catalans to score at the other end: magic moments that as a season card holder you will be able to share, so get your season cards now and make this stadium a fortress.

“I’ve done everything I can for this club and now it’s up to you, get you season card now. Let’s have a great season because we have a great squad.”
