Huddersfield Giants head coach Ian Watson reacts to Will Pryce’s red card against Hull FC

Huddersfield Giants’ troubles at Hull FC were bad enough being 14-0 down with under a quarter of the game left, but matters were compounded when Will Pryce was given a red card for a dangerous tackle.

Connor Wynne was the victim for Hull who, credit to him, got back up as quickly as possible.

And now Huddersfield head coach Ian Watson has had his own say on the incident, stating that he could have no complaints about the decision.

“It’s a big learning lesson for him,” Watson told the Daily Mirror.

“He’s devastated in the changing room. Will knows he’s messed up.

“Now he has to lick his wounds and see what the consequences are.”

Huddersfield went down 14-6 in the end, with the Giants actually scoring and looking more the part with 12 men after Chris McQueen breached the Hull defence for the first time in the 70th minute.

But, Hull, who had scored tries through Mitieli Vulikijapani and Andre Savelio, with Ben McNamara converting both and adding a penalty, hung on for their fourth win of the season in tremendous fashion.
