Huddersfield Giants build on one of their best seasons in a decade with record-breaking sponsorship numbers

Huddersfield Giants has a 2022 that was full of ups and downs but on the whole a season to remember for the positive aspects as they finished third and made it all the way to the Challenge Cup final.

Despite defeat in the final to Wigan Warriors by a close margin of 16-14 and an early exit in the playoffs the season still marked the best at the John Smith’s Stadium in over a decade.

Ian Watson led the team during their brilliant campaign and he’ll return again but with a new-look squad that has seen plenty of turnover including heavy recruitment..

The signings of players such as Jake Connor, Kevin Naiqama and both Jack and Jake Bibby has bolstered their squad to a level where the Giants can truly compete.

That’s something that has been seen by fans and businesses alike as today the Giants have announced that for the first time in their Super League history they have sold out all of their gameday sponsorship slots, and we’re still five weeks from the season kicking off.

Match and match ball sponsorships for the club have all sold out five weeks prior to the Super League campaign kicking off and six weeks prior to Giants’ first game, an incredible achievement.

That just goes to show the direction that rugby league is headed in Huddersfield with the effect of one brilliant campaign and the clear direction to build for the future bringing a feel-good factor to fans and also businesses who want to associate with the Giants brand.

During a time where money is stretched due to the cost of living crisis this is truly an incredible achievement for the Giants.

The Giants will not play during round one given that their opponents, St Helens, will be in Australia contesting the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers.
