Huddersfield Giants boss Ian Watson provides important update on star halfback Theo Fages

Huddersfield Giants do battle with Warrington Wolves tomorrow afternoon.

But, one player that will not be present for the Giants will be halfback Theo Fages who has excelled in a claret and gold shirt since moving from champions St Helens.

However, his head coach at the John Smith’s Stadium, Ian Watson, has revealed that he had some symptoms of concussion following the draw with Leeds Rhinos though he will be back for next weekend.

“Theo will be fine, he was back training yesterday and today so he will be fine going forward,” Watson said.

“He got a head knock at the back end of the Leeds game and he did a concussion test after.

“The doctors checked him out and he felt fine but he felt a little bit funny so he did a head test and he failed it.

“He’s good to go and has had no adverse effects – the doctors have been great with him sometimes it’s a little bit of a delayed reaction.”

Watson also praised the Huddersfield club for how effective they are when it comes to injuries.

“There are no issues whatsoever, the one good thing about the club doctor and physio is they work really closely together at Huddersfield.

“They make sure they take really good care of them – we are really good at that at Huddersfield.”
