Huddersfield Giants boss Luke Robinson has provided an injury update ahead of tomorrow’s pre-season clash with York Knights.
The Giants have already named their squad, with a number of off-season recruits all set to feature.
However, there were some key names were left out of the side, including the recently-named vice-captain, Harry Rushton.
Providing an injury update ahead of the clash with the newly-promoted side, boss Robinson gave a run down on the current injuries in the squad, and compared to last season, the side are in a much better position.
He said: “Taane Milne has got a little bit of a knee injury, so he is going to miss out.
“Joe Greenwood has got a head knock, he is going to miss out, but them two should be fighting fit for next week.”
Two more players, Rushton and Oliver Russell, are likely to miss out on the club’s pre-season friendly next week, too.
As part of Brad Fash’s testimonial, the Giants will travel to Brantingham Park, home of Hull Ionians RUFC, to take on Hull FC, but Robinson looks to be without his starting loose forward and his new recruit for that contest.
He said: “Harry and Russ have just got two really innocuous challenges in pre-season on their knees. They have been training extremely well and they should start coming into contention, I think they are just going to miss out on the Hull game, unfortunately.”
