Huddersfield Giants boosted by returning skipper in hopes of ending losing run as they face Castleford Tigers

Huddersfield Giants welcome Castleford Tigers to the John Smith’s this Friday night, with both teams looking to get back to winning ways.

The Giants have lost their last four matches, including last week’s 42-40 loss to Salford. Despite the
result, there were signs of improvement for Ian Watson’s side at the AJ Bell.

Huddersfield’s main issue this season has been in attack, however on Saturday they were able to piece
together good attacking sets and score plenty of points. They will be looking for a repeat of this
against the Tigers on Friday.

Ian Watson has named his 21-man-squad for the game against Castleford, which sees Chris
McQueen and Nathan Peats return to the squad.

Theo Fages is again included after an impressive return to action last week. Luke Yates is included after his heroics last week against Salford, however there is no room for Kieran Rush this week.

Castleford also come into the match looking to get back to winning ways as Andy Last’s men are winless since the start of April, when they beat local rivals Wakefield at the Jungle.

The Tigers have also not won an away game all season. Will this change come Friday night?

Their 21-man-squad sees the return of Bureta Faraimo, Liam Watts, Jacob Miller and Elliot Wallis, as
all are included.

Miller’s inclusion looks set to allow Joe Westerman back into the pack after his cameo in the halves last week whilst Gareth Widdop looks to have shaken off an ankle knock as he too is included in the match-day squad.

The last time the sides met, Huddersfield put the Tigers to the sword as they romped to a 36-6
victory in March.
