Huddersfield Giants bizarrely priced at £1 million on new game after controversy

This week Super League‘s exciting new fantasy game from Voono has launched which was a move from IMG.

Having had a look at the game, this is a truly exciting new dawn for the sport with the modern game having numerous layers that will keep players coming back again and again.

However, there have been some complaints and chief among them being the fact players have to pay real money to sign some players with players having the power to set prices.

This has led to young Huddersfield Giants halfback Kieran Rush being priced at a whopping £1,000,000 which is frankly absurd.

Now Voono has addressed this and other problems with the game with a thread on X. They said:

“Voono is Officially LIVE! Big thank you to our rapidly growing fan base. Thousands have already built teams.

“We set out with a long term plan to serve rugby league fans. We’re committed to enhancing the game. We’ve heard your feedback.

“Commitment to Free-to-Play: We stand firm in our belief that Voono should remain accessible without pay-to-win barriers. New features are in the pipeline to enrich the free-to-play experience for all fans.

“Draft Adjustments: We’re recalibrating the free-to-play draft to value strategic thinking over luck, ensuring everyone gets a fair shot at assembling their ultimate team.

“More Free Cards: Candidly, the overwhelming demand for free card drops caught us off guard. We’re scaling up our efforts to distribute more free cards regularly in the meantime.

“Enhanced Collector Experience: For those passionate about collecting, we’re working on more features to improve card ownership and will be introducing more rare cards soon.

“Honoring Card Collecting: You may see players that have retired or left the Super League in-game. These cards, collected during our closed Beta in 2023, belong to people. We can’t destroy them, but must find ways to display them differently.”

In reference to the £1,000,000 asking price for young Rush, Voono said:

“User-Driven Economy: Many of the card prices you see are set by the community. Some are hopeful of funding their trip to Vegas.”
