Huddersfield Giants 38-36 Warrington Wolves: Highlights and match report

Huddersfield Giants took on the Warrington Wolves at the John Smith’s Stadium this afternoon.

Warrington began the brighter of the two sides, scoring first through Matt Dufty after a Jake Wardle break, however, the home side proved in the mood from that moment on as Adam O’Brien burrowed over.

Josh Jones and Tui Lolohea then crossed quickly for a 14-6 lead, before Leroy Cudjoe, Ricky Leutele and Toby King dotted down to put the Giants out of sight with a 30-6 lead.

Josh Lynch crossed for the Wolves before the break before Will Pryce added a penalty on half-time to make it 32-10.

Wardle dotted down almost instantly after the break for Warrington and Dufty registered one moments later to bring the Wolves back to within ten points at 32-22.

Will Pryce registered a try on 65 minutes to effectively end the game at 38-22, but the Wolves did enjoy three more tries through Dufty, Josh Thewlis and a fourth Dufty effort but it was too late as Huddersfield held on for a 38-36 win.
