The team news for game one of Super League Magic Weekend 2026 is in with Huddersfield Giants set to face York Knights in a bid to extend their impressive record at the showpiece event.
Huddersfield boast the best record of any team at Super League Magic Weekend whilst York are of course playing in the event for the first time, and both sides will be desperate for the win.
The Giants have just two wins all season and they’re yet to taste victory under new head coach Jim Lenihan, who saw his side lose late on to Wakefield Trinity last week in devastating fashion.
As for York, they responded to a huge defeat at the hands of Wigan by knocking off Castleford Tigers on the road and Mark Applegarth’s side will be keen to harness that momentum.
Matchday squads have now been confirmed for the opener at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with changes for each team.
