Huddersfield appoint Reserve Coach

Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the appointment of Steve Fox as the club’s new reserve coach.

The Giants have also confirmed Fox will do work with the First Team and the younger grades. He will start in late January.

Fox was previously the U16s coach at Leeds Rhinos before taking this new job.

He told the club website: “I am really excited and looking forward to the challenge of being appointed as the Reserve Grade Coach.

“I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to work and develop under Andy Kelly, Simon Woolford and the rest of the Giants staff.”

Giants Rugby Manager Andy Kelly added: “He’s a man who I’m very familiar with and someone I feel understands the ethos and pathway we are trying to create at Huddersfield Giants.

“He has had a varied career, from working in the prisons service to working in education, and understands the need to develop and nurture players within our system to play Giants Rugby.

“His experience with Leeds means he has an in depth knowledge of the local area and has allowed him to understand the processes and structures associated with the Super League”
