How you can watch Betfred Championship rugby on Premier Sports in 2022

This week is the start of an exciting new TV deal in rugby league with Premier Sports beginning their coverage of Monday night Championship fixtures.

The first fixture to appear on the channel is a tussle between one of the favourites for promotion Featherstone Rovers, who announced the signings of Ryley Jacks, Ben Mathiou and Adam Cuthbertson to compliment the arrival of Joey Leilua this week, and a side seen as a top six candidate in the shape of York City Knights at York’s LNER Stadium.

But how exactly can supporters get Premier Sports to watch this exciting battle and the plenty of others set to come later this season?

Season ticket holders of Championship clubs have already been offered annual subscription to the channel for just £80 with York City Knights also promoting a month’s free trial with Premier Sports today for their fans.

But what about rugby league fans from outside of the Championship?

For fans with Sky, they can get the Premier Sports Pack which includes both Premier Sports channels, La Liga TV and Box Nation meaning you can also indulge in Spanish football and top notch boxing for £12.99 a month. The same offer is available for fans with Virgin Media. Meanwhile Prime Video offer all four for £14.99 per month.

For those without Sky, Virgin or Prime, the same four channels can be accessed online by subscribing to Premier Player for £12.99 per month meanwhile netgem.tv also have their own offers with Premier Sports 1, Premier Sports 2 and La Liga TV available.

You’d get good rugby league value for this with 12 fantastic fixtures already pencilled in to be shown on Premier Sports between now and May with more on their way. With a superb commentary team complete with Woman of Steel Jody Cunningham, former Super League stars Kevin Brown and Leon Pryce, experienced rugby league commentator Mark Wilson and beloved presenter Emma Louise Jones, there’s plenty of reasons for fans to subscribe to the channel.
