There are 21 rugby league games on TV this week but Super League sees a reduction of its primetime coverage.
Traditionally, Super League will show two games per week with full pre-match and post-match coverage whilst the remaining five have standard coverage without any studio analysis.
This week, just one Super League game will have the pre and post-match analysis with Sky Sports instead opting to pick up next month’s mid-week game between Hull KR and Warrington Wolves, the rearranged round two fixture that could not be fulfilled due to the Robins playing in the World Club Challenge.
Ironically, the one Super League game that Sky Sports will give full coverage to this week is the reverse encounter with Warrington hosting Hull KR on Saturday at 3 o’clock, though coverage will begin at 2:30 pm.
St Helens’ clash with Catalans on Friday night had intended to be an extended Sky game but it was sacrificed for next month’s rearranged fixture, however, Saints will be available to watch on free-to-air TV as the BBC Red Button and iPlayer will show the match on Friday night.
As well as the seven Super League games this week, there are 14 games across the NRL and NRLW for fans to get stuck into meaning there’s plenty of rugby league on TV to watch.
