How to watch Wakefield Trinity v Leigh Leopards, Hull FC v Hull KR, Warrington Wolves v St Helens and NRL on TV

Super League and Challenge Cup fixture issues

Super League takes another pause this week as eyes turn to the Challenge Cup quarter-finals. All four games will be played between Friday and Sunday, with three set to be broadcast live.

Unsurprisingly the Hull derby, with the two Hull sides currently the two best teams in Super League according to the table, is the pick of the games and that has been selected by the BBC to fill their Saturday afternoon slot. Warrington Wolves’ clash with St Helens will be shown to a national audience, too, with the game selected for Sunday.

Beyond the Cup, there’s a shortage of English rugby league to watch on telly this week, but NRL fans will still have plenty to get stuck into. Three games will be shown live on Sky Sports this week, with every game aired on the subscription based Watch NRL.

Here’s all the information you need to watch all the rugby league this week.

Thursday April 3

There’s no Thursday Super League action this week with Canberra Raiders’ home game against Cronulla Sharks being the only top level offering across both hemispheres. That one is available on Watch NRL.

Friday April 4

There’s two Challenge Cup games being played on Friday night but only one will be available to watch. Wakefield Trinity’s home clash with Leigh Leopards was overlooked by national broadcasters but fans can still watch it through Super League +. Those who already have a subscription will be able to watch for no extra cost, while the game can be watched for the pay per view price of £7.99 for those without Super League +.

There’s the small matter of a Sydney derby to watch on Sky Sports in the morning, too, with South Sydney Rabbitohs hosting Sydney Roosters, while Penrith Panthers’ home clash with North Queensland Cowboys is on Watch NRL.

Saturday April 5

The Hull derby is the pick on Saturday with the two sides going at it in the cup for the first time since 1986. They’ve both started the season well and they’ll be entertaining national audiences on the BBC during the afternoon.

Brisbane Broncos v Wests Tigers is Sky Sports’ NRL offering on Sunday, with two more games available to watch through the early hours of the morning.

Sunday April 6

Warrington Wolves v St Helens is the pick for Sunday with the pair meeting once more this season having played out a thriller in the league just a couple of weeks ago. That’s on the BBC with the semi-final draw taking place at half-time.
Canterbury Bulldogs play Newcastle Knights on Sky Sports on Sunday morning, with Manly Sea Eagles host Melbourne Storm on Watch NRL.
